Having problems with your septic tank?
There are many reasons for problems with septic tanks
The cost can be as minimal as £120 for the unblock of the outfall.
It is probable that you will NOT require a new tank and other cheaper options can be explored first.
A drainage field can fail either because the original installation was not adequate, i.e. not a herringbone structure, or because the ground has become saturated over a period of time. The life of a drainage field (approximately 10 years) can be extended with regular emptying of the septic tank. When a tank is allowed to overfill the sludge can be carried into the drainage field and cause problems. It is only the liquid that should enter the drainage field.
